Our mission in India went off smoothly. We were in Ongole, a town of 300.000 inhabitants at about 400 kilometers from Chennay (Madra) in the state of Andhra Pradesh. We met Surya and Lilly our indian friends who welcomed us heartily. One of the member of our association who is a dermatologist came along with us. Air France, one of our sponsor granted us a 20 kilos excess luggages.
We were able to carry with us 30 kilos of medecines.

500 check-up were made by our dermatologist within 10 days. All the medecines were given out.
The lack of hygiene, the crowding and the shortage of drinking water are responsable for a lot of skin infections and for an epidemic of scabiosis.
We visited an orphanage in Ongole with 70 children. All of them have scabiosis. We bought the necessary medecines to get rid of the scabiosis. We also provided a pair of shoes to all of the children as they were walking barefoot.
We are working right now on some projects such as the building of 6 toilets and the possibility to get drinking water at the orphanage.
We also met some local doctors who helped us to know more about the people and their needs.

The summer camp went really good. One of our members once again was for the 3 consecutive years in the training staff.
The children really enjoyed themselves and during the camp they forgot their problems and they became again what they are supposed to be : children.
Sport, games, english lessons, painting and a handicraft workshop were proposed to the children.
4 meals and a snack were served to the kids everyday.
The evenings were lively with dance and music.
We are looking forward to the next camp !
On October 28, one of our member is leaving for Rajdavitza to run english classes to the children at the boarding school.
Mike and Ann from England will come to help him. He will be staying there two weeks.
REPORT ON OUR MISSION IN BULGARIA

These 2 weeks spent at the boarding school with the children were very fruitful. We were very happy to see all the children again. There was about 70 children. We made 3 groups. Ann and Mike took the smaller ones and Didier took the bigger ones. An interpreter was with us and helped us a lot in our work. Ann and Mike used drawing and games to teach them english. The children really enjoyed it. Didier helped the children to write a letter in english to those who attented the last summer camp. They were so excited and so proud to be able to speak a few words in english. It was so encouraging for us to see some of them so talented and so eager to learn.
We got closer to the bulgarian teachers and we realised that they were happy to see us here.
We do hope that this first experience in running english classes at Rajdavitza will be the open door for others to come and help these children.
